Aetiology of Neonatal Infection in South Asia (ANISA) funded by Bill and Mellinda Gates Foundation

Neonatal infections account for about a third of the estimated 3.7 million global neonatal deaths. This study aims to improve newborn and young infant survival in the region and beyond by providing data on aetiology of community acquired young infant infections, antibiotic sensitivity patterns of leading bacterial pathogens, and risk factors for bacterial and viral infections.
